Living closer to art - art closer to ordinariness
Volumes have been written, what is art and why we need it.
You can look into the "History of six ideas" by Wladyslaw Tatarkiewicz to explore this subject.
However, for the needs of everyday life it is enough to simplify that art is an important part of our culture...
Indeed - without sensitivity there is neither art, nor humanity.
"After Altamira, everything is decadence" - said 20tieth century art genius Picasso
seeing 35 thousands years old rupestral drawings in Altamira Cave in Spain.
We - the 21st century people need not, however, fall into complexes, or go all the way to Spain,
in order to be closer to art ;)
In the twentieth century, the artist had to run own factory (as Picasso) so his works could find its way to many recipients.
Artists of the twenty-first century may motifs from their paintings put on a variety of products
through the services available on the Internet and thanks to the development of global supply chains.
Not everyone is willing to spend a pile on a hand painted canvas by an artist.
But those who wish to commune with art can stand buying for just tens of euros a product bearing the motifs
from unique paintings made with the same hand.
Agnieszka celebrated in 2016 in Villa Gallery in Lodz her 30th anniversary of creative work. At the same time she was invited to cooperate with one of the US Internet ventures for artists VIDA Shop. She has been also attracted by similar, Australian portal Redbubble, which has quite a wide range of products, on which art can be presented. As a result, the paintings can be admired not only in the gallery or at the houses of private collectors, but are also given the chance to enter our everyday life, as the genes (memes) of art, the messengers reminding us about the culture, aesthetics and ... humanity.
