Agnieszka Głowacka - supplementary information

April 2008 - individual painting exhibition "Nights & Days" in private gallery "TiG" in Warsaw.

On April 25th 2008 there was an opening of next Agnieszka's painting exhibition entitled: "Nights & Days" arranged in private gallery "TiG" in Warsaw owned by Jadwiga and Tomasz Mikiewicz. In hospitable interiors there were exposed 10 big canvas paintings made in own mixed technique.

Exhibition was opened by gallery owner Jadwiga Mikiewicz and Agnieszka's statement about her painting technique and inspirations. Paintings from this exhibition can be seen in "Nights & Days" gallery.

Below is the digest of Agnieszka's statement about her artistic inspirations:

Light and color in nature is for me a mystery, which stimulates the expression of my sensitivity. This is the synthesis of my experiences - the creation of the image inherent in the transient time of the year, and often also to a specific location on Earth.
Watching the play of light, temperature of color, structurality of forms, I bring symbols of nature into being. My descriptions are deliberately ambiguous and of course thinking about a future viewer. Uniqueness, specific "climate" of my sorrounding have always provoked me to look for my own painting technique, thanks to which my images get alive - they live in the rhythm of light: wake up and fall asleep, sometimes influence viewer even without any help of light.
Generally, the light is the driving force: it plays with textures of canvases, paints shadows, brings details out and determines color saturation - making, at the end of the day, that my images not only decorate, but also fall in dialogue, intrigue ...
